Before we called it beauty, we learned to exist. We marked our skin with earth and ash, pressed colour to face and body, and showed ourselves to the world. Beauty began as ritual — a language of touch, care, and presence. Somewhere along the way, that ritual became management. We were taught to perfect the surface instead of imagine the self.
Exist begins here: a return to beauty as agency — not conformity — and innovation that performs for people, for planet, for the future. Ours is an experiment in evolution. We question ingredients and images, defaults and desires. We use material science and circular systems to make better choices feel like an effortless part of your everyday.

Founded by Lauren Bowker, EXIST was born from over 15 years of pioneering material innovation and seven years inside the beauty industry. After almost losing her life’s work in THEUNSEEN, Lauren was left with a void: years of innovation with nowhere to live. But in that darkness, a light flickered. In that space, she asked: if beauty had another chance, how should it exist? How do breakthrough ideas move from experiment to everyday? How can our daily acts of care also care for the planet? She began again, building a small crew of scientists and creatives to rethink how innovation shows up—on skin, in ritual, in real life. Together, they imagined a new world of beauty—where the future exists and unfolds in our hands. EXIST is the evolution of self-expression.
